Heating
The heating capacity of FORGES S.p.A. has been increased to meet the increasing demand of forged
steel pieces: it is now based on several heating furnaces for ingots up to 45 tons.
Forging
The forging department is equipped with
- No. 1 3500-ton oil-pressure press
- No. 1 5000-ton hydraulic press
- No. 6 manipulators up to 45-ton
The 5000-ton hydraulic press can be operated both manually and automatic and is equipped with a 45 ton integrated manipulator.
Heat treatment
FORGES S.p.A. can perform all the most frequently required heat treatments such as annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering and solution annealing.
The present heat treatment capacity (still growing in the near future) is based on:
- Heat treatment furnaces with maximum length 15 m
- Water and aquaquench quenching tanks with maximum length 15 m
Machining
With our own machining facility located near the forging shop and a network of independent machine shops that are by now an integral part of the "FORGES System", we are able to satisfy all rough machining requirements with
- vertical lathes
- horizontal lathes
- milling machines
- CNC machining centres.
We are also able to perform dead or through deep drilling on all our products, whatever the length.
On demand we can analyse the feasibility of supplying fully customized machined pieces, with or without special heat treatments.
